American Councils Moldova celebrated International Education Week with a seminar for Moldovan high school and college students from major academic institutions, including the State University of Moldova, the Academy of Economic Studies, the Technical University of Moldova, and the Free International University.

Organized in collaboration with ”B.P. Hajdeu” Municipal Library, the U.S. Embassy in Moldova, and the Moldova Educational Advising Center, the event offered over 100 Moldovan high school and college students information regarding various scholarship opportunities offered by the U.S. Department of State. The event's guest speakers were Otilia Colac, Adviser at the Educational Advising Center, Brent Israelsen, Assistant Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Moldova, and Dorina Calinovschi, Director of Studies at the American Language Center. The sessions included information on TOEFL, GRE, and GMAT exam preparation, writing tips for winning scholarship essays, and guidelines for a well-structured curriculum vita.

International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchanges worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is a special way to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment, attracting future leaders from abroad to pursue international exchange experiences in the U.S.
